Vitamins
Vitamins are substances needed to trade the body's vital human and animal. The food should bring sufficient quantities to ensure proper needs of the body.
Studies show that the modern diet is causing shortages of some vitamins for the majority of the population.
Recommendations for vitamin supplements, known as recommended daily allowance (RDA), were developed by the health authorities of all developed countries, depending on the gaps identified. The recommanded daily intake given by the directive of the European Commission of 28/10/2008 are complementary safe doses and not the total dose to be ingested.
There are two classes of vitamins, water soluble and fat soluble. The fat-soluble vitamins are stored with fat in the body. Water-soluble vitamins are removed from the body, with the exception of vitaminB12.
