Cholesterol
Excess cholesterol is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Indeed, by accumulating in the lining of the arteries (atherosclerosis) it will block them and cause hypertension, heart attack or stroke with dramatic consequences.
Cholesterol ingested through our diet too rich in fats added to the endogenous cholesterol manufactured by our own liver will accumulate more and more in our bodies thereby promoting the emergence of other diseases such as diabetes.
It is commonly recognized that there are different types of cholesterol: the good, the HDL made by fat and some fish oils and the bad, LDL, provided mainly by the fat of mammalian meat , dairy products and frying oils. The balance between these different fats is essential for the proper functioning of our cardiovascular system.
Triglyceride levels, hormones, toxic substances such as tobacco and alcohol, obesity may have an adverse effect on the balance between "good" and "bad" cholesterol.
The main factors regulating this balance are diet and exercise.
Against cholesterol, Green tea is well-known for its anti-cholesterol properties, but the association with goji, chebulic myrobolan and omega 3 in a single product gives a strong product against cholesterol.
